About our network

The Canadian Primary Care Trials Network engages primary care researchers, frontline primary care providers, organizational leaders, policymakers, and patient and community representatives. The overall goal is to support world-class trials in primary care and outpatient settings across Canada.

Our objectives

  • Support trainees and primary care researchers to design, successfully fund and lead trials, contributing to research conducted in the real world of primary care.

  • Standardize and share approaches to recruitment, consent, and financial incentives.

  • Improve efficiency in conducting clinical trials in Canada.

  • Serve as a platform for the evaluation of policy changes around financing and delivery of primary care.

  • Serve as a point of connection to other trial networks and training initiatives.
